End of the day

Good morning friends. I was looking today during my studies at different words and their contextual meanings (meaning the meanings pertaining to the languages they were written in) and came across a scripture that Jesus spoke (that I have heard used and I am sure all of you have also) that caught my eye in a slightly different sense. That verse was Luke 5:39. In this verse he talks about old wine and new wine. He says that after tasting old wine nobody wants the new. Well we all know that wine is considered better with age; in fact many sit on some for years and years even to the point that it soon becomes a vintage wine. Well now you are asking how this struck me in a slightly different way. Well we often hear it in reference to the way we lived before we came to Christ in Christianity and how some often look back and prefer to go back to the old ways instead of trying to live in Christ. What strikes me funny is that not only is that true about people of the world but also many of people of or in different faiths or beliefs. Due to the mental state and our individuality we often times tend to read or understand what we have been raised up or instructed to believe rather than to learn for our selves.

Having the same book with the same teachings and the words all meaning the same why is their over 10,000 different beliefs or types of faith? I think that we try to make the way or path of right way to difficult. I personally don't understand why. God is not a God of confusion, disorderly, or difficult. He is a God of simplicity, order, and clearly in control. How can we take a verse and twist it and form the definition to be as we want? We all know the route to salvation, and that is an easy step to start, the difficulties start after the initial steps have been taken. Jesus says that we need to be as a child to enter into the kingdom of God. Now we also all know the characteristics of a child, but we tend to forget some important parts. We know that a child has no worries, that they trust their parents to provide for them and that they have unconditional love for their family. Now you may be asking what the parts that we miss are. How about for starters imaginative? Most children have a tremendous imagination and ability to drum up a wealth of ideas and dreams, not only for the present but also the future. Next we will say how about creativity. Children are very creative and many times ingenious in the way they color and pretend or act out their ideas. Next we will move on to accessible; now another term that one may use is trainable. They accept your firm words as law as one raises them in the best way one knows how. Ok now lets move on to the next one lets say serving. They give no thought to doing what one asks them to do, and a child that is taught to respect his elders they give no thought to helping other either. Next will be forgiving they forgive and forget and continue to love as if nothing had happened. Next let us continue with ambitious; they don't let a small thing such as one telling them no get in their way. They take the time to learn you and they actually know one better than you yourself do.

Now if you will allow me to bring this to you as I see it. God put us here and created us perfect and in his image right? All the above mentioned characteristics are the same ones that God contains except the fact that he needs no training or teaching for he is the teacher. Why have I said all this? You will never create the universe or an animal or humankind, but you are responsible for your life, for your surroundings, for your goals and for your future. One can never change another no matter how dominating one is. One can change the lives of others by being as a child, by giving the unconditional love, by letting their imagination show them who they are and dreaming big dreams with a definite goal in mind. By being creative and ingenious in the forms of executing them and always looking to the future, to always learn and allow others to have access to your heart and love and forgiveness. And last of all not killing ones ambitions or desires thinking that they are not a need for ones life. One of the greatest forms of service to others is by allowing yourself to have dreams and live a happy and fulfilling life. Why? If one is unhappy they carry stress, hate, anger, and just a life that at the end one looks back and asks what did I do with my life? A desire is what guides you, your heart, your life, but if one doesn't allow it to fulfill itself you live with a sad heart for you are not doing what you are sent to do. some may argue that we are not to have desires for that isn't Godly but when it is all said and done if one chooses to serve God that is only because they so desired. You are the creator of your own life, your own future, your dreams and your limitations. Look to God for the way and allow him to show you. He tells us the do's and don'ts but puts no limits to what one can accomplish through him.

Now what did all that have to do with Luke? I am going to leave that to your imagination, and your own interpretation. Just remember when you sit down at the end of the day and look back over your accomplishments and dreams how will they match up? Will they make you smile with the contentment of achievements God desired for you or the sadness of unfulfilled dreams and wonderment if you full filled his desires for you.

God bless!!

It’s a beautiful day!!

Good morning to all and what a beautiful morning it is!! I was sitting out side this morning at the picnic table, sipping on my creamy concoction of coffee, sugar, and a light touch of creamer, and observing the beauty of nature and listening to her song. With a slight breeze coming across the dewy grass and wisping through the tree tops, the birds chirping, the morning sun warming the earth, the horse chomping away at the grass, the rabbits running to and fro, and the squirrels carrying on like old maids. I sat there in deep thought just thinking of God and appreciating his glorious creation. Then it brought into a different perspective as to what God is…. God is a God of beauty, peace, joy, happiness, abundance and love; A God so powerful and overwhelmingly large yet so simple. We may perceive a thing as being large or a task to great or a need or desire too much, but for God (whom effortlessly spoke the world into creation) size is no issue. God is not a God of limitations but a God that loves you and I much more than we could ever love him. He praises every good deed you do and forgives the bad ones, bestows unlimited blessing upon us which many we take for granted. It has been my experience that the more one appreciates and tries to recognize them the more he bestows unto you. In the bible Jesus mentions the flower called the lily. The lily is a highly recognized flower for its beauty and peace for its sweetness and fragrance. If God created so much beauty in a plant of that nature, imagine what he could create through you if you allowed him to. We as humans tend to put self imposing limitations on ourselves due to the fact that as the saying goes we can't see past our noses. Is your God the limited God who works on our level, or is he the almighty and all powerful the great I AM ready and willing to assist you, to bless you, to heal you, to carry you to greater and greater levels of service and abundance. One may say but I don't deserve all the blessing or luxuries in life, and my response to them is in reality we not only don't deserve that but neither do we deserve to live, but through Gods love we are doing that. He doesn't allow us to be here so that we can be like blocks of dirt on the beach of life waiting for the tides of death to just come and wash us back into the ocean of forgotten mankind, but he wants us here to glorify him, to allow him to show his glory through us, and the only way to do that is by allowing him to do it; By allowing him to bestow upon us all his glory and blessings, by allowing him to work through us. Many times in the bible God tells his people that he is doing what he does so that all may see him and his glory. God is not a God of limitations or lack but a God of unlimited abundance, we have yet to run out of our natural resources….gold has been mined for thousands of years in large quantities, as has silver and all the other metals and minerals, crude oil has been pumped out of the earth for over a hundred years and there is no end in site. They say that we have enough under the U.S. to meet the present demand for over 300 more years. So my question to you is who is limited you or God? Jesus told us that with faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains, so then what are the limitations that God has put on us? The answer is that the only limitation God has put us under is that we serve him with love, gratitude, and a strong dedication to carry out his will and all the rest will be added unto you. Is it wrong to ask God to bless you with an abundant life? Is it wrong to ask for great things, Beautiful things? No. I find it rather strange that many like to think so. If you look in the scriptures at a little prayer given by a supposedly unrecognized man in the long list of the genealogy in 1 chronicles 4:9-10 you can see that it is not only proper but totally recognized as a great prayer. Why else would it be smack in the middle of a long list of begats? If you read in matt.6:9-13 Jesus almost replicates this prayer but with a little more description. Well I have said enough for today and hope you have enjoyed the thoughts. May God Bless

WELL HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY....

Hello friends, I find it a little strange that no one has any had any comments or ideas to voice on the last couple of posts. One can only speculate as to why, but I won’t due to the nature of speculation. I post here to open new avenues of thought concerning who we are and how we relate to God, not to impose on some ones beliefs. It is great to know how they relate to each individuals belief and to know how they are either good or bad so that they can be elevated in ones thought process or put to rest and not utilized, or continued. I said I wasn’t going to post a response to my last post and to how I see what it says but I will say a few short words here as to part of what I think. I too had to read it several times to understand the depth of what it says but the short version is this when a person tries to be pleasing to God they act and respond as they think their God would through their interpretation of who God is. As adults we create the God that our children try to be pleasing to. We (through our actions) show them how we perceive God, and they being our children follow through as they try to be pleasing to us their parents. Well that is a start for you and MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS
