Controversy & Understanding
OKAYYYY….Last and finale time I am going to try to explain what I mean….Gods promise to us…salvation…. we all know and agree so far…. Steps need to be accomplished for this to take place….again we all agree……….finally we will all be judged at the end for how we accomplished and what fruits we brought about…..again we all agree!!!! Ok, now if I give you a million dollars, do you have the right to that million dollars….yes because they are now yours to have and do with what you want….correct? Now, if you say no I don’t want your money and I insist and we argue about it does that mean that they are yours or that you have by right, access to that money…..well yes. Why because I gave them it to you….do you deserve it probably not but I gave it to you any way. Now if I tell you that when your child is born that I will give him another million, and I put it in the bank with his name on it does he have the right to that money when he is born…..well yes….now if I put stipulations on that money such as age, study, and what have you does he still have the right at birth….yes it has his name on it he decides if he will fulfill the agreement or not. That is up to him….more than likely he will, due to the extravagant sum but that is still his choice!!!!! We were born into sin with the promise of salvation. Nobody owes us anything except ourselves and that is to do our best here on this earth in bettering ourselves but more so our neighbors…….maybe and I probably am confusing my self by all this, but that is the way I see it and the opportunity is there for any one to grab onto and do there best.
Confusion is the point right before clarity =:)

Contagious1 we can agree if this is what you are saying: God has promised salvation to all who obey His will, we have the right accept or reject this salvation. If this is all you are saying we can agree.
In your illustration about the child and the money with the stipulations, he has no right to the money until such time as he meets the stipulations. It has his name on it but he cannot claim it until the stipulations are fulfilled! It is there for him but only when he fulfills the requirements. So it is with salvation, it is there for any who will fulfill their obligations to receive it. Until then they have no claim to it!
In all of this discussion I have failed to see the importance of calling it a birthright. Perhaps you could explain why this is so important.
Since we are talking about Bible subjects are we not obligated to call Bible things by Bible names? Can you show me where salvation is referred to plainly as a birthright?
Also please give references to show we are "born into sin". I have searched my concordance and have been unable to find it. Please help.
